When I was a kid, my very first synth was the Commodore 64. At that time I used to sequence music in Basic code entering hexadecimal data. Another passion as a teen was progressive rock, such as the Deep Red (Dario Argento’s “Profondo Rosso”) horror soundtracks by Goblin and Claudio Simonetti.

“Chip Red – Profondo Rosso Chiptune” is crafted from the heart, merging these two early passions of mine, featuring the iconic C64 and vintage retrowave instruments such as the Ensoniq SQ80 (from Bob Yannes, the designer of the c64 SID chip) or a ORLA electronic organ from the 80s: a sonic tribute to the past and a step into the future, with modern effects and sequencing.

“Chip Red” follows the tradition of my previous Halloween releases, “Spiral into Darkness” (2021) and “Thanatos” (2022), offering a spine-tingling instrumental journey.

This is an electronic reinterpretation of a cult classic. Dive into the darkness!
