I’ve completed the publication, in this blog, of a synth samples collection of sounds I’ve programmed and recorded on my hw synths.
The samples are released under the creative common sampling+ licence and are posted in the Sound Library - Synth category.
I have added a podcast category and feed for Demiurgo mp3 releases.
You can Subscribe here to listen and to stay always updated.
I’ve added new categories in the Music Project section.
All this files came from the old demiurgo.it website, and are downloadable for free under creative commons licenses.
After a couple of years of (apparent) inactivity, I (Paolo Di Pierdomenico aka Demiurgo) am back in the music production. A lot of new ideas are rising. This new site in the form of a weblog is a new beginning.
This new website is still uncomplete, and I will post the old contents -and the new ones- from time to time.
The access to the old site layout is however possibile: Old demiurgo site.
Welcome!
Cromelech is a project developed by between y 2000 and 2003. The inspiration comes to us from Medieval-Fantasy.
Actually, Cromelech is a sort of fantasy tale in musical shape.
The various tracks that we are developing describe the scenes, characters and key events of the tale; so the music gains a narrative value.
At a first first time, a real tale was created in association with music, that would be the “score”. For example Feud tells abount a battle between two armies; Escape describes a rocambolesque and adventurous jailbreak of a thief. However we after relised that the music without any written text is a better experience for listeners: in this way they can imagine a personal fantasy on their own, inspired by music.
This project is realised with renewed instrumentation: a significative improvement in the sound quality can be noticed in comparison to the previous works.

Demiurgo.it has now an alias tld: demiurgomusic.eu
.eu domains just started out, and I feel like they will grow in relevance in the future.
Thanks to Agostina Pallone, artist and promoter of the event, Demiurgo music has been chosen as sountrack for an Matter Art Exhibition. The event is titled “Arte della Natura: segni, sogni, cicatrici” (”Art of Nature: signs, dreams and scars”) and is taking place at “Frida Blue Art Gallery” in Milan, from May 22 to June 5.
I have released a special sampler CD called “Reverie” with mixed ambient-sounding tracks in crossfade, to create a continuum sounding CD to played in background during the exhibition. The tracks includes releases from other projects, mainly from Astray.
The cultural association 21st Century Music, dedicated to electronic music, released a sampler CD producing 9 chosen italian electronic artists. The sampler, titled “Ten Sonic Architectures” includes the track The Waiting by Demiurgo, from the Cromelech Project.
I have finally taken my degree in Computer Science. The music projects, however, are slowed down a lot, due to the tiny amount of free time I have…
A new Demiurgo’s song for the Cromelech fantasy project: titled The Waiting, it is 6min progressive electronic track composed by Luca and Paolo with contribution in sound programming by Aquila Rift. The mp3 is in the Cromelech section.
This is the last song composed with Luca, that leaves the Demiurgo Project :-(
